Diversity article

abercrombie & fitch lawsuit article

Abercrombie & Fitch recently settled a lawsuit for 40 to 50 million dollars to employees who said there was discriminatory labor practice.
A federal judge approved the settlement.  Both sides announced that Abercrombie & Fitch would pay $40 million to several thousand minority and female plaintiffs. Abercrombie also said that they would hire 25 diversity recruiters and a vice president for diversity.  Also to promote the hiring of minorities and women to reflect its applicant pool.  It has to have about 30% of employees that are of a minority race.

Also, Abercrombie & Fitch agreed to change their advertisements to show a more diverse group of models.  They want to represent their store as not just fashionably dressed white people.
